Paul Mergard is a passionate photographer and traveller. Based in Brisbane, Australia, Paul has worked for The Salvation Army as the Mission Team Leader since 2001. In 2002 Paul launched Project 1:8 which is a short-term mission project. Teams have served in places as diverse as South Africa, Papua New Guinea, Botswana and India. In his spare time, he loves to travel and take photos, capturing the hope and potential of kids around the world. Paul is also engaged in the fight against Human Traffiking – the second largest criminal activity in the world – through his work with The Salvation Army and involvement with Stop the Traffik.
